Q:

How do I join?

A:

Click Request Membership.  Complete the online request form.  Requests may take a few days to process.  Successful requests will receive an email with a link to our membership application.  Submit a completed application.  Successful applicants will be prompted to pay membership dues.  Once dues are received, a confirmation email will be sent to the new Mayflower member!

Q:

What is required of members?

A:

Members commit to daily prayer for the group.  Service to the group to help it function is highly desireable.  Families are free to determine the amount of service that is peaceful for them.

Q:

Are there fees?

A:

Yes, there are required annual dues of $42 per family. In addition, depending on which activities families choose, there may be nominal fees associated with those activities.

Q:

Is membership in MH exclusive?

A:

No. With respect to the gift of free will given by God, and the Principle of Subsidiarity, MH members are free to make whichever choices they deem necessary for the education of their children, including membership in other homeschool groups.

Q:

I am not Roman Catholic.  May I join?

A:

Yes. MH is open to all homeschoolers. However, to protect and nourish our Roman Catholic identity in all our activities, membership in MH requires annually agreeing, electronically, to a mandatory Statement of Faith.

Q:

Must I participate in all activities?

A:

No. Adherent to the Principle of Subsidiarity, members choose how much participation is peaceful for their families.

As desired, members may participate in events by any of Mayflower's 3 local chapters or just those sponsored by their chapter.

Q:

What activities does MH offer?

A:

Currently, during the school year, each of Mayflower's 3 chapters offer some or all of the following activities:

  • Clubs Day Monthly (A choice of age appropriate clubs for 3-18 year olds), Frequently Visited by Religious
  • Field Trip Day Monthly for All Ages
  • Mercy Day Monthly for All Ages (eg., Works of Mercy, Feast Day Celebrations, Liturgical Living, Chastity Enrollment Ceremony, Pilgrimages, Vocation Exploration Trips, Stations of the Cross, Marian Processions, etc.)
  • PE Day Monthly for Ages 3-18
  • Themed Teen Dances Quarterly
  • 2 Academic Fairs Annually
  • Holy Baccalaureate Mass Annually (for Grades 8 and 12)
  • Commencement Annually (for Grades 8 and 12)
  • Couples or Moms Night Out Monthly
  • Elizabeth Ministry as Needed

During the summer, MH offers:

  • Monthly Family Fun Days! (eg., beach days, etc.)

Q:

How many members are in Mayflower?

A:

Spanning all three chapters, Mayflower members number over 80 registered families which represent over 20 parishes & over 300 children & teens.

Q:

May I start a Mayflower Homeschoolers chapter in my area?

A:

Yes!  It's included in your membership!  Just click Contact Us and send us an email to get started.  We will answer all your questions and help you every step of the way!
